Experience both adventure and relaxation on this 10-day safari in Zambia that takes you to two excellent camps located along the Zambezi River. Start your journey at The Royal Livingstone where you can visit the incredible Victoria Falls and indulge in a range of exciting water-based adventure sports. Then travel to the Lower Zambezi where you stay on the tranquil banks of the river, search for wildlife in the national park, and drink in the quiet, natural beauty as well as a short stay over in Zimbabwe at the Victoria Falls this itinerary makes for an excellent trip.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
This 10 day Journey takes you to wildlife areas that are still untouched and remote, thus allowing for a superior game viewing experience. Enjoy the South Luangwa National Park, famous for its walking safaris, followed by the Lower Zambezi National Park where you can enjoy activities like canoeing and fishing and finally end your tip at the Mighty Victoria Falls.
Arrive in Lusaka and connect onto a light aircraft flight to Mfuwe. On arrival in Mfuwe transfer to Flatdogs Camp, just a short drive away. Spend the evening relaxing by the river.
A day of game viewing activities from Flatdogs. This usually includes drives in the early morning and late afternoon, where sundowners are followed by a night expedition searching for leopard and other nocturnal wildlife.
A full day to enjoy game-viewing in the South Luangwa. This morning you could enjoy a walking safari before returning to camp for lunch and another afternoon safari.
You’ll return to the airport for two short flights to the Lower Zambezi National Park, flying via Lusaka. A guide will meet you at the airstrip and take you back to camp by way of a game drive, stopping to see animals along the way.
A full day to enjoy the fabulous game viewing on offer at Chongwe River Lodge. The focus here is on water-based activities and there is some great game-viewing to be done on boat safaris. Each day you are also likely to go on an evening game drive.
A day of game viewing and other activities around Chongwe River Lodge. The canoe safaris that the camp provides are an excellent way to view the wildlife around the river as you silently paddle past the banks. You can also explore the area on game drives and walks.
For your final day of safari activities in Zambia – you might want to try tiger fishing in the river. The Zambezi tiger fish can grow to up to 12kg, and there are also plentiful bream and chessa to catch if the big one eludes you. Alternatively enjoy more safari activities.
You will leave camp today and fly back to Lusaka and onto Livingstone where you will be met and transferred across the border to Ilala Lodge in Zimbabwe where you will stay for the next two nights.
Today you can explore the Victoria Falls. Should you wish to take a helicopter ride or microlight flight this can be arranged for you, alternatively you might like to just explore the town and visit the falls on foot.
After breakfast you will be driven to Victoria Falls Airport to meet your onward flights.
